A stay at Le Meurice
Dear Valued Readers,
This week, we tour one of the most iconic hotels of Paris, first opened in 1835, and which has been a piece of Parisian history ever since. It’s the place where Picasso got married and Salvador Dalí lived for years, infusing its spaces with his playful spirit. To this day, Le Meurice retains its artistic flair, and it has been a part of our Collection since 2013.

A STAY AT LE MEURICE
Sitting on one of the most famous streets of Paris, the Haussmann facade of Le Meurice is immediately recognizable on rue de Rivoli, across the street from the Tuileries gardens and with a porter-flanked revolving door for a grand entrance. The location is ultra-central Paris, with the Louvre just a 10-minute stroll away, and the luxury boutiques of Place Vendôme and Rue Saint-Honoré around the corner.

VERSAILLES-STYLE GRANDEUR MEETS ARTISTIC FLAIR
Much like its history, the decor of Le Meurice is a coming together of 18th-century splendor and the artistic spirit of the people who once called it home: high ceilings, original cornicing, a sweeping ceiling art in Restaurant Le Dalí and those polished brass Leda chairs that are based on original drawings of the artist. The hotel has the feel of a gallery.

THE TERRACE OF THE BELLE ETOILE PENTHOUSE
It’s one of the most beautiful spots in Paris for a drink at sunset, and to have a 360° view over the city that’s unique to the hotel. Inside, handcrafted details await at every turn, and a majestic marble bathroom with three windowed walls and a Jacuzzi overlooking Montmartre.
